Welcome
Jill and I have been making sculpture for over thirty years. In
1999 we were approached to use our skills to make large three dimensional
signs for Scottish and Newcastle Breweries. Since then we have developed
this commercial aspect of our work and have supplied sculptural
signage and other related 3D work to companies large and small.
Some of these include other breweries such as Cornerstone and Mitchell
and Butlers; Car Plan (displays at the NEC. Birmingham.) signage
for a subsiduary of the Lego Corporation, local Education Authorities
(several schools coats of arms) and many smaller companies - for
one of which we exhibited a commissioned sculpture at the International
Offshore Exhibition at th AECC, Aberdeen. We have designed and made
trophies for presentation ( Asian Business Awards, Yorkshire) and
various sporting events. One of our more recent projects is street
art/furniture for Peterhead Town, Aberdeenshire. This involves sculpted
bases for a series of waymarker sig ns around the town center. The
bases are designed to reflect the ethos of the town.
We can work to supplied designs and briefs or we can design to the
clients brief. We work in all media and even have our own bronze
foundry which is used mainly for our own work which we exhibit and
sell through galleries and commissions.
Jill studied sculpture and graphics at Bradford College and I have
a fine art degree (sculpture) from Liverpool College of Art. I have
taught at several Art Colleges and latterly was head of art in adult
education at Bradford College.
